The campaign named “My profession: Doctor in Romania”, launched in April 2013 by the Foreign Investors Council (FIC), through its Healthcare Working Group, was awarded the European Excellence Award within a gala held in Munich, Germany, on December 5, a press release informs. In the presence of over 500 PR and communication experts, the organizers bestowed awards on the best communication campaigns carried out in Europe out of a total of 1500 campaigns submitted by companies, agencies and NGOs operating in various industries such as IT, energy, transports, telecommunications, healthcare, culture or tourism.
The campaign was supported by GSK Romania, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection, the Ministry of Education, the British Embassy in Bucharest, being implemented with the help of GMP PR Agency. The jury praised the creativity of the Romanian campaign, its innovation, strategy and efficiency as regards the ratio between costs and the dissemination of the campaign, given that the information was spread to a huge number of people. Thus, over 10 million of citizens have been informed about the campaign via news and feature reports released by TV channels, radio channels, newspapers and online, and over 20,000 medical experts have been provided with information via direct contact or through special partnerships. A number of 26 TV shows have approached this campaign so far.
