10 pc of Carpatica Bank stock sold for EUR 4.3 M

Corneliu Tanase, acting together with the majority shareholder of Carpatica Commercial Bank (BCC) Ilie Carabulea, sold last Friday on the Stock Exchange a stake of 9.95 percent of the bank’s stock through a couple of deals worth RON 19.58 million (EUR 4.34 million), reports Mediafax. The two transactions cumulating 313.37 million BCC shares, were concluded for an item price of RON 0.0625, 1.13 percent higher than the price at the closing session on Thursday. Carabulea, who controls 41.2898 percent of the stock, and Corneliu Tanase, who used to have 11.2179 per cent prior to the Friday operations, have their voting right suspended by the National Bank of Romania. Carabulea and Corneliu Tanase wanted to replace the current executive management by modifying the status and members of the Supervisory Council and Directorate, whereas the managers propose a merger with another bank.
