100 km of motorway tender winners to be known on April 15
The constructors of nearly 100 km of motorways out to tender last August will be known in one month’s time, zf.ro reported Dan Sova minister delegate for infrastructure projects of national interest and foreign investments, to which the National Company of Motorways and National Roads in Romania (CNADNR) is subordinated, as saying. The award proceedings for the 100 km of motorways with an estimated worth of nearly 900 M euro were delayed by a string of complaints, an all too lengthy bid assessment and the very small infrastructure allocations. Among the constructors interested in the motorways concerned, Romanian companies including Spedition UMB (controlled by Dorinel Umbrarescu), Teloxim Con (Theodor Berna) and Straco Grup (Alexandru and Traian Horpos), and foreign companies such as Austria’s Strabag, Spain’s FCC Construccion and Pizzarotti Group Italy.
