Alexandru Tomescu Concert for persons with intellectual disabilities

Violinist Alexandru Tomescu, who plays  the Elder-Voicu Stradivarius violin, actress Ana Pepine and actor Paul Cimpoieru will perform in a Jan 14 Concert at the Bucharest National Opera Opera (ONB), for helping persons with intellectual disabilities. The 70 minute concert will combine the music of the “Six sonatas for solo violin” by Eugene Ysaye with the expressive gestures by the actress and the actor involved in the performance. The violinist Alexandru Tomescu concert is held in support of the Special Olympics Foundation Romania and sports people with intellectual disabilities to compete in the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games, PyeongChang, Korea. The Romanian delegation will be made up of 10 sports people with intellectual disabilities to perform in alpine skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.The Special Olympics Foundation Romania was established in November 2003, as part of the Special Olympics international sports movement.  Tickets for the Jan 14 concert are available at Eventim outlets and online at www.eventim.ro.
