Alexandru Tomescu plays Mozart at the Radio Hall


Violinist Alexandru Tomescu and his legendary violin will come back to the Radio Hall, alongside the Radio Chamber Orchestra, on Wednesday, December 20, starting at 19.00.

Under the baton of Conductor Martin Panteleev, the orchestra will perform a Mozart integral program. The evening will open with the overture of the opera La clemenza de Tito, and Alexandru Tomescu will come to the stage to play Concert no.2 in D Major for violin and orchestra. The program will end with the Symphony no.41 in C Major, also known as Jupiter.

Having an already consolidated career and a growing international exposition, Alexandru Tomescu plays since 2007 the violin that belonged to Ion Voicu. For several years in a row, he made the Stradivarius Tour, performing in dozens of localities, with programs that included several integral-events for the Romanian musical life and which built his reputation as one of the best-known Romanian violinists today.
