“We are astonished! We could not imagine. It is a dream! We love you Romania, we will never forget you! It was the best show we’ve had so far in Europe. You are amazing and we will definitely be back!” said the Lunafly boys immediately after the concert on Friday at the Culture House of Students.
Arrived to Bucharest directly from Milan a day before their concert on July 25, the trio of the moment in South Korea and beyond, the band Lunafly flamed up literally and figuratively the nearly 1,000 spectators present inside the hall of the Culture House of Students in Bucharest, acording to a press release of the Kompas Events, the organizers of the event. “I love you Lunafly! Sam! Teo! Yun” – these are the words that were heard almost continously from among the audience, accompanied by rounds of applause and shouts of joy, an audience made up of many energetic teenagers, but also adults, fans of K-pop. Being ready for an explosive show, the viewers arrived in due time to find their seat and they watched carefully the show presented in the opening of the Lunafly concert in Bucharest.
A first act performed by one of the partners of the concert, the organization Sarang Hanguk, was the parade of hanboks (traditional Korean costumes – editor’s note), which brought on stage bright and pastel shades worn with elegance by the volunteers enrolled in this event. The event had the support of the South Korean Embassy in Bucharest.
A second moment absolutely electrifying was staged by Vera & Lelou, two extremely talented young people for whom the street dance is a lifestyle and not just a hobby. The first part of the program was completed by the band DSK (Dope Style Kings), the winner of the Battle Dance held on July 24.
After a short break, the Lunafly band took to the stage around 8.30 p.m. In great shape, Sam, Teo and Yun offered their Romanian fans a memorable night. With his characteristic ease and charm, Sam got a big round of applause from the fans. Teo’s playful spirit made his fans shout his name over and over again, and the warm smile of Yun won the hearts of the Romanian public once and for all. Last but not least, the boys delighted the audience with their outstanding voices, and especially with words in Romanian, such as “I love you”, “You’re beautiful”, “Could you please give me your phone number?”, .
The list of the songs performed by Lunafly, for three hours, includes „Clear Day – Cloudy Day”, „One More Step”, „How Nice it Wolud Be”, „Stardust”, „Can I Kiss You?” and „Fly to Love”, as well as covers versions of famous singers (Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Maroon 5 or Backstreet Boys).
In the end of the concert, the boys came up with two surprises, namely the cover of the song „Immortals” by Romanian singer Smiley and the song „Love from the Linden Tree” by O-Zone. „We don’t feel like leaving!” the South Korean band said at the end of their performance. The concert was followed by a Fan Sign session, attended by 400 people. Mall 4 Art, Music Channel, TVH and Kiss FM were also partners of this event.
