Andreea Marta, the wife of Sorin Blejnar’s former advisor Codrut Marta, was formally charged for prostitution and procurement acts that occurred mainly in Bucharest, Brasov, at various parties, but also in Italy, Switzerland and Monaco.According to DIICOT prosecutors, Marta (formerly Lungu) Andreea-Elena and Lungu Maria-Magdalena coordinated the activity of the prostitution ring and approached wealthy persons whom they facilitated sexual relations with young women, in exchange of big sums of money.“The prostitution-procurement activities took place mainly on Romanian territory, in Bucharest, Brasov and on demand, at various parties held in other localities throughout the country, but also on the territories of other countries – Italy, Switzerland and the Principality of Monaco,” DIICOT informed. The young prostitutes recruited by the members of the group were attractively looking girls that participated in beauty pageants and fashion shows; the selection was rigorous because the beneficiaries of sexual services were public persons, businesspeople – Romanian or foreign citizens, or showbiz stars.
