Historian Andrei Muraru was appointed Personal adviser to Klaus Johannis, chairman of PNL, according to a press release cited by Agerpres. Muraru, 32, holds a PhD in History from the ‘Al. I. Cuza’ University in Iasi. From 2012 to 2014, he was the executive president of the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile (IICCMER) and is currently Associate Professor at the ‘Al. I. Cuza’ University in Iasi. Between 2006 and 2009, he occupied the position of adviser to the Prime Minister’s Chancellery as well as that of general manager of the National Archives of Romania (ANR).
