BEROBA, a real support for Romanian and Belgian investors
The indicators of bilateral trade will certainly follow the ascending trend, turning 2013 into a record year for bilateral trade, the minister of Economy, Varujan Vosganian recently said during the opening event of the Belgium-Romanian Business Association (BEROBA). According to a press release, BEROBA aims at supporting the development and export of quality Romanian products and services to Belgium. In the opening speech, BEROBA President Carl Rossey indicated the three purposes described in the presentation of the association’s mission, respectively: creating a network of Belgian and Romanian businesspeople, by organising seminars, workshops, meetings and visits of companies for the members of the association. The first important event of this kind is the Belgian Week that will take place on April 22-28 at Hotel Novotel Bucharest, with further information being available at info@beroba.com. Other objectives of BEROBA are making connections with other business associations / chambers of commerce from Belgium, Romania and throughout the region, and lobbying to Belgian and Romanian authorities in view of creating alliances and workgroups that will contribute to the improvement of the business environment. Attending the event, the ambassador of Belgium, His Excellency Mr. Philippe Beke noted the dynamism of Belgian businesses in Romania, manifest through investments and participation in public auctions, and through the commitment to public partnerships. The ambassador guaranteed that Romania enjoys the support of Belgium in the attempt to reform the Romanian business environment.
