The gas pipeline between Romania and the Republic of Moldova will be able to carry between 1.5 and 2 billion cubic meters a year, above the current level of gas imports from Russia of the Republic of Moldova. “The project on the Romanian side was concluded, including crossing the Prut River. The project on the Moldovan side will be conclude by August 15, then several days of trial will follow, and on August 25 the first gas exchanges between the two states will be possible, technically speaking,” said Minister delegate for Energy Razvan Nicolescu, quoted by Mediafax.
