Representatives of the consortium SNC-Lavalin Nuclear Ontario, Ansaldo Nucleare Italia and Elcomex Romania, interested by the construction of reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda NPP, on Friday met the minister of Economy, Varujan Vosganian, the Ministry of Economy announces in a press release. According to the source, minister Vosganian said that the government supports the project and considers that one needs to attract investments in order to diminish the participation of the state in reactors 3 and 4. “Moreover, Varujan Vosganian also favours finding a solution for splitting the risk between the Romanian state and the participants in the project,” reads the communiqué. The Minister of Economy mentioned that the government wants to continue the nuclear energy programmes, as the Romanian public is open to investments in this sector, unlike in other types of energy.Bucharest-Pitesti motorway.
