Cristina Neagu injured again
Cristina Neagu (24) has torn her left knee’s ligaments and will stay on the bench for at least six months.
It all happened during a training session on Monday evening. Neagu wanted to stop a counter-attack launched by Adriana Nechita and although the two players did not make contact Cristina’s knee popped. Neagu underwent an MRI on Tuesday evening in Bucharest and the doctors’ diagnosis came as a blow: torn ligaments. The season is over for Neagu, who will miss Oltchim’s Champions League games as well as Romania’ World Cup qualifiers. Neagu restarted playing in September 2012, after a pause of one year and seven months in which she underwent surgery on her right shoulder in the United States. Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea will make its debut in the Champions League’s main groups on Sunday, at 7 PM, at home, against FTC Budapest.
