Automaker company Automobile Dacia, part of French group Renault, launched Tuesday in Romania its models Dokker and Dokker Van, manufactured by its plant of Tanger, Morocco, at prices between EUR 8,700 and 13,600 (VAT included), depending on engines and accessories, reads a press release. Both models may be ordered in the authorised Dacia network starting today, 19 September 2012.Conceived for a mixed use (both personal and professional), Dacia Dokker comes equipped with four versions of engines: two petrol versions, including the new 1.2 liter TCe of 115 HP, and two diesel engines of 75 HP and 90 HP. The model comes in three equipping flavours – Basic, Ambiance and Laureate. Prices go from EUR 9,000 (VAT included) for Dokker Ambiance, equipped with the petrol engine 1.6 MPI of 85 HP which costs EUR 13,600 (VAT included) for the Dokker Laureate, packing the 1.5 dCI diesel engine of 90 HP.Dokker Van enjoys two equipping variants: Basic and Ambiance and the same range of engines as in the case of the Dokker model. With prices between EUR 8,700 (VAT included) for the Basic version and EUR 11,500 for Ambiance with 90 HP diesel engine, Dokker Van represents an interesting offer for those who want a car that can carry a lot. After the launching of Dacia Dokker and Dokker Van, the Dacia range reaches nine models launched in eight years. Dokker and Dokker Van come this week in Romanian showrooms. The newest Dacia models will be the stars of a special launching event, named ‘The Dokker Days,’ held on September 20-28. Customers will have the occasion to discover and test the latest two entries in the range of Dacia models.
Logan 2 and Sandero 2, at the Paris Motor Show
The Romanian carmaker will present its new models Logan 2 and Sandero 2 at the Paris Motor Show, starting September 29, the commercial manager of the company, Thomas Dubruel announced Tuesday, during the launching event of the Dokker and Dokker Van in Romania, quoted by Mediafax. The first photos with the Logan 2 and Sandero 2 without camouflage appeared Monday in the French magazine L’Automobile Magazine. The main novelty, besides the new design, is a new series of economic engines, based on the turbo petrol engine of 0.9 liter and 90 HP. The new Logan comes with a significantly changed design, which incorporates elements of the Duster and Lodgy models, the French magazine reports. Both models can be fitted the 0.9 liter petrol-based engine TCe turbo, of 90 HP. The rest of the engines are the versions already used on the previous Dacia models.
Dacia registrations in the EU, up 16 pc in august
According to data provided by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), the number of new Dacia cars registered at EU level increased by 16 pc in August, to little over 18,000 units, but slightly decreased to some 160,000 units in the first eight months of the year, in a market affected by a 7.1 pc decline. New car registrations in Romania dropped by more that 42 pc in August, compared to the similar interval of last year, to little over 5,000 units, while in the first eight months the decline was of 9.4 pc, to approximately 44,000 units. In August last year, about 8,700 cars were registered in Romania, and nearly 50,000 during January-August, according to data released by the Driving License and Vehicle Registration Department (DRPCIV) and ACEA.
