Decree for submitting for ratification precautionary Agreement between Romania and EU, signed by Basescu
President Traian Basescu on Monday signed a decree submitting to Parliament for ratification the Agreement for the precautionary-type loan facility between the European Union and Romania, worth maximum 2 billion euros, and the Memorandum of understanding between the EU and Romania, the Presidential Administration informs, quoted by Agerpres. The Agreement for the precautionary-type loan facility between the European Union, as lender, and Romania, as borrower, through the National Bank of Romania, was signed in Bucharest on November 5 and in Luxembourg on November 19. The Memorandum of understanding between Romania and the European Union was signed in Bucharest on November 5 and in Brussels on November 6. Also on Monday, Traian Basescu promulgated several laws, among which the one on approving Emergency Ordinance 89/2013 for the ratification of the Memorandum of understanding between Romania’s Government and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on organising and conducting the public procurement procedure for the works within the Iasi – Ungheni gas pipeline project. Moreover, the head of state also signed the decree for the promulgation of the Law on enabling the Government to issue ordinances.
