Foreign Affairs Ministry informed on Thursday that the European Commission had dropped six infringement procedures launched against Romania under the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, but decided to start a new one and resume and existing procedure.  ‘The termination of the infringement procedures is the result of the efforts made by Romanian authorities in fulfilling obligations coming with EU membership. Such result could not have been obtained if it hadn’t been for the effective cooperation among the various national institutions’, said Romania’s government Agent at the European Court of Justice, Razvan Horatiu Radu.
