Natural gas price paid by population will increase by some 5.6% on Wednesday, January 10, according to a press release issued on Tuesday by the Energy Utilities Companies’ Federation (ACUE) for AGERPRES.
ACUE representatives remind that since April 1, 2017, the price for which suppliers buy gas from domestic producers has been no longer established by the authorities, as a result of the evolution of supply and demand in the market.
“ANRE analyzes periodically the evolution of the price of gas purchased by the suppliers having the obligation to adjust the transfer value to the household consumers, according to the legislation in force. We underscore that this price adjustment was caused exclusively by the increase in the gas purchasing costs from the domestic production, the tariff distribution and supply margin remain unchanged,” the ACUE release also said.
The energy state regulator ANRE on Monday issued a press release stating that it had decided to increase the regulated gas price on January 10, but did not specify the rise percentage.
