Finance Ministry borrows RON 713.7 million in bonds due in five years

By reopening a bonds emission due in November 2018, MFP (the Ministry of Public Finance) has drawn RON 713.7 million – 42 percent above the expected amount – for which it will pay an average return of 4.15 percent per year, according to Mediafax. Investors have placed subscription orders worth a total of RON 1.861 billon, 3.7 times the value taken into account for the bid, namely RON 500 million. The next state bonds bid for non-competitive offers is scheduled today and participants will only indicate the amount they wish to place in state bonds, while leaving out the desired return.
