Fossils of a new type of flying reptile found in Romania
The fossilized bones of a new type of Pterosaur, a flying reptile that lived approximately 68 million years ago and that had a wingspan of approximately three meters, were found in Romania, livescience.com informs. Fragments from the skeleton of the medium-sized Pterosaur were discovered in Sebes-Glod, Transylvania, a region famous for the variety of Late Cretaceous Period fossils it holds, fossils such as those of Crocodylomorpha, mammals, turtles and dinosaurs such as dwarf sauropods and the Balaur bondoc species.
