Prahova County Council announced that it hosted, at the end of the last week, a new delegation headed by a foreign diplomat, namely the French Ambassador in Bucharest, Michèle Ramis. The French official was accompanied by the Educational Cooperation Attache Michel Monsauret, coordinator of the French Alliances in Romania, and by the Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Action, Christophe Gigaudaut, the manager of the French Institute in Romania.
Along with Bogdan Toader and Ludmila Sfirloaga, namely the he President and the Vice President of the Prahova County Council, the talks held with the French guests have been also attended by the Mayor of Ploiesti Adrian Dobre, the Deputy Prefect of the Prahova County Emil Draganescu, the President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aurelian Gogulescu and the Manager of the French Alliance in Ploiesti Steluta Coculescu.
At the meeting held in Ploiesti, at the headquarters of the Prahova County Council, both the county’s business opportunities, the economic and investment potential, and the most important ongoing projects at the level of the county administration have been presented to the French Ambassador in Bucharest. In this context, a special attention was given to the business opportunities provided by the existence of the industrial parks, since Prahova is the first Romanian county that developed such a project, being a best practice example at national level in this field. Also, the President of the Prahova County Council Bogdan Toader presented the main tourist and cultural objectives, at the same time pointing out that Prahova is the county “of the black gold, of the mountain tourism and of the red wines”. In this context, the French Ambassador in Bucharest Michèle Ramis showed his availability to make known the offer of the Prahova County to the representatives of the business sector in his native country, and since the Oil and Gas University is located in Ploiesti, he also expressed his intention to facilitate the academic cooperation, especially in terms of the oil and green energy area. The French Ambassador has also shown interest in intensifying a number of collaborations in other fields, such as agriculture, tourism, energy and culture.
