Green light for higher indemnities from state-owned companies

The Chamber of Deputies rejected yesterday the reexamination request of President Traian Basescu regarding the ordinance allowing the increase of indemnities to members of shareholders general assembly at the companies where the state is majority shareholder and the assimilation of the remunerations for the members of the board with those of the companies with private management. PSD supported this ordinance whereas PDL announced they are going to vote in favour of the reexamination request from the president. He was denouncing in November last year, among others, the provision according to which the economic agents cannot provide the shareholders assembly members remunerations higher than 25 per cent from the constant monthly indemnity of the general directors/ directors per session and for more than a session a month, within the approved budget.
