Grimus opens for Deep Purple

Grimus band will open for Deep Purple at their concert on February 20 at the Polyvalent Hall. Although their musical styles are different, Deep Purple representatives enjoyed the Cluj-based band performance, and thus the latter are the first option for the opening in Bucharest. After the performance held several weeks ago in India at Saarang festival along with The Architects, Grimus reports another success. “It is both a surprise and an honor to be selected to play on the same stage with a true legend. Even if our style is slightly different, we are glad that our music is appreciated. We believe the energy of live shows is a universal language after all, and the fact that a band such as Deep Purple chose us, proves it even more. We come to Bucharest with open hearts to know a new public and some artists we admire,” said Vali Rauca, guitarist of Grimus band.
Grimus is the Romanian band with the major presence at international festivals over the past two years. Their flawless live performances were an advantage, and they gave the opportunity to the six members to open concerts of such artists as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hurts, Placebo or Roxette.
Tickets for the concert on February 20 are almost sold out. Two weeks ago two categories had already sold out, another two were sold in the meantime and the tribunes of the Polyvalent Hall have increasingly fewer places available. The fans who want to see their favourite band in the standing areas should hurry, as less than a quarter of the entire amount of tickets for sale at the Golden Ring and General Access areas are available anymore. They can be purchased online on and and in Diverta retail chain, Muzica shop, Mihai Eminescu bookshop or the Palace Hall box office.
