Iliescu, reprimanded by revolutionists: PSD and PNL are worse than PDL

At a Romanian Revolution Institute reunion on Thursday, revolutionist Dumitru Dinica told Ion Iliescu (honorary Chairman of PSD), that PSD and PNL are worse than PDL, adding the Ungureanu administration failed because of revolutionists. He ended his speech by asking, “Is this what we get in return?” Dumitru Dinica’s reproach continued as he emphasized that revolutionists have been rendered silent and unable to take a stand before anyone, while state institutions have made a mockery of them. “When PSD and PNL, namely USL, rose to power in Romania, I thought things would get better, and the revolutionists who made your presence in Cotroceni, Prime Minister Victor Ponta’s election as PM, and Traian Basescu’s ascent to presidency possible would be rewarded with gratitude,” Dinica said, according to Mediafax. He evoked Iliescu’s promise to revolutionists last year that he would speak to government officials in order to prevent revolutionists from turning into beggars. “I don’t know what measures you’ve taken, but as a result many of us have lost our homes and we don’t even have a slice of bread or meat to put on the Christmas table. Is this justice? Please tell Prime Minister Ponta that revolutionists may be stupid, but they are also many,” Dinica said, emphasizing that revolutionists will not swallow their pride. He concluded by mentioning he would file a request with PM Victor Ponta to approve his euthanasia. Iliescu replied he understands the bitterness and difficulties revolutionists are faced with, and he stated payments for special merit will be resumed in January and revolutionists’ bank problems resulting from loans based on revolutionist benefits will be resolved.
“I undertake before you the task of talking to the Prime Minister to solve this problem,” the former President of Romania said.
