Imported carcinogenic milk pulled from the market

Aflatoxin, a carcinogenic substance, was found in milk imported from Hungary and in a quantity of milk at a processor in Romania. The milk was pulled from the market, Agriculture Minister Daniel Constantin stated yesterday, Mediafax informs. “Controls have started in Romania. We are discovering new things as the controls progress. There are several alerts, the latest concerning milk,” Constantin stated. He added that there is no danger because the contaminated milk was pulled from the market. The minister stated that aflatoxin is carcinogenic and that is why the Agriculture Ministry issued an alert.
