The International Festival ‘Enescu and the World Music’, with more than 500 guest musicians and over 20 concerts on the bill, will run August 5 through 27 in several cities: Sinaia, Busteni, Brasov, Sibiu and Bucharest, informs a release of the organizers to Agerpres.
Organized by the Sinaia City Hall, the ‘Romanian Youth’ National Art Centre, the ‘Friends of Music – Serafim Antropov’ Foundation and financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund, the festival will bring before the public the most powerful youth orchestras in Romania, France, Moldova and Spain, alongside soloists of international fame, who will perform in various venues that also include the Sinaia Casino. Romania is the only country represented at this event by three orchestras: the Romanian Youth Orchestra – trained and conducted by Cristian Mandeal; the Romanian Sinfonietta Orchestra – prepared and conducted by Horia Andreescu, with piano player Elisabeth Leonskaja as soloist; and the Junior Orchestra – led by Gabriel Bebeselea, with violin player Maria Marica delivering the solo part.
The concert series ‘Chamber Music Masterpieces’ will continue to impress audiences at the current edition too, thanks to a host of Romanian instrumentalists who pursue a career abroad, alongside important artistic personalities from Romania.
The ‘Third Millennium Generation’ concert series that has been bringing into the spotlight, for several years now, the most spectacular young musical talents from Romania, will have an important international component at the current edition.
