Japanese PM invited to visit Romania


FM Titus Corlatean on Wednesday met Nobuo Kishi, Japan’s vice-minister in charge with Foreign Relations, during his first tour abroad since he was appointed to this office, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs. The head of the Romanian diplomacy saluted the ascending evolution of the bilateral political and diplomatic relations, emphasising that 2013 was an active year through the large number of contacts that were achieved at ministry level, while also reiterating the invitations extended – on various occasions – to both Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the Japanese minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Romania. During talks, the two officials analysed the concrete possibilities of expanding the political and diplomatic dialogue, and discussed about new directions of technical and scientific collaboration, the need to update the legal framework existing in this field, and the expansion of cooperation in all the fields of interest between the two states.
