The juridical commission rejected yesterday the request to have PSD MP Vlad Cosma placed under preventive arrest. The commission rejected the request with 7 votes in favour, 13 against and 3 abstentions. The votes were cast after MP Vlad Cosma was heard. Cosma is investigated for intercession. The Lower Chamber’s plenum was due to vote on the preventive arrest request late last night. Prior to Cosma’s hearing, PNL President Crin Antonescu stated that he will propose to the Liberal MPs to vote in favour of the request.
Vlad Cosma and his father Mircea Cosma, the president of the Prahova County Council, are criminally investigated in a corruption case concerning public tenders.
