Leonard Cohen, for the third time in Bucharest


The Canadian singer that won the hearts of the Romanian fans is returning to Bucharest this weekend, on September 22.

At 78, the poet-singer is now returning for the third time to a stage in Bucharest in order to promote his album “Old Ideas” which, as the artist says, brings “ten new songs that nobody knows but everyone will cherish.” Leonard Cohen’s newest album contrasts the new songs with most of the songs that made him a legend. Ever since the first week after the launch the album topped the world’s rankings, being a first for the artist. Tickets will be available in the Eventim network and will cost between RON 95 and RON 852 at the VIP Exclusive category. Born in Montreal on September 21, 1934 Leonard Cohen started his musical career in New York at the end of the 1960s. However, before becoming a household name in the world of music, he published poetry and fiction books. For well over six decades Leonard Cohen has been revealing his secret world in songs that soothe the heart and seduce the intellect. Most of his albums became classics: Songs of Leonard Cohen (1967), The Future (1993) and Ten New Songs (2001) etc. The songs were reinterpreted in over 1,300 variants, by artists and bands such as U2, REM, Nick Cave or the late Johnny Cash. Leonard Cohen was officially inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
