Lidl Romania launches a new edition of the Lidl Duales Studium program, by which it gives young high school graduates the opportunity to study in Germany. Under the program developed by Lidl, the Romanian students will attend the classes of Heilbronn Faculty of Commerce, and at the same time, they will gain practical professional experience for a sales management job.
Lidl Duales Studium is an international project implemented in all the countries where Lidl operates, including in Romania. The program’s length is of 3 years, and it is dedicated to the high school graduates or future graduates of the current school year who have advanced Germane language skills.
The selected students will attend the Faculty of Commerce in Heilbronn, Germany, with the possibility to study for one semester, in the 2nd year, at a partner university from another country, depending on the results achieved in the first year. Each year of study comprises a series of theoretical modules and one semester of practice in the Lidl stores, in which the students follow all the school steps required to gain a solid professional experience in sales.
During the practice program, Lidl ensures the students’ accommodation. In addition, each semester of practice is remunerated as follows: young people in the first year will receive a net salary of EUR 1,400/month, those in the second year will receive EUR 1,600/month, while those in the last year will receive EUR 1,800/month. At the end of the program, students will receive an internationally recognized degree and will have the opportunity to be hired as Sales Manager at Lidl.
“It is important for us to directly bring our contribution to the practical development of our future professionals, and this is why we are glad to be able to provide a springboard in their career through this program. After successfully graduating the faculty, they will have the opportunity to be hired on a management position – Sales Manager, within our team, which means they will coordinate several stores in the Lidl network both in terms of the business indicators and the human resources management. The Lidl Duales Studium program is part of our strategy to develop a relationship with the young people and the educational environment, and at the same time it is part of a wider framework of programs and partnerships of our company in this field” stated Mihaela Anca, HR Manager at Lidl Romania.
