MAE takes over DRP, European Institute and some MAEur structures

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) will take over the specialized activities and structures of the Department for Romanians Everywhere (DRP) and the foreign affairs structures of the Ministry of European Affairs (MAEur). Also, the MAE will coordinate the activity of the European Institute of Romania, under a reorganization decision passed by government on Wednesday. “These modifications will bring the total number of MAE positions to 2,218, of which 886 at its headquarters and 1,332 abroad,” the Government announced. As we speak, the maxim number of MAE posts equaled 742 at the headquarters (excluding dignitaries and the minister’s staff) and 1,317 abroad.
