Magyar Posta not to take part in Posta Romana privatisation
The Hungarian state-run company Magyar Posta examined the conditions set for the privatisation of Posta Romana and decided it will not participate in this process, the Hungarian news agency MTI announced, quoted by Hotnews.ro. Justifying its decision, Magyar Posta explained that this year it will concentrate on consolidating the position of the company in the liberalised market of postal services in Hungary. The Hungarian company announced last week that it is interested by Posta Romana. According to the privatisation announcement made last Monday by Romanian authorities, the investors interested by the privatisation of Posta Romana “must provide pertinent and relevant evidence of the availability of financial resources from own sources, or borrowed, for a capital contribution of minimum EUR 150 M in cash to the company.”
