Metropolis Center hotel turned into office building

According to a press release, the Austrian Soravia Group has finalized the construction work aimed at reconverting the Starlight Suits hotel, developed under the Metropolis Center real-estate project located in Dorobanti, into an office building based on a EUR 1.5 million investment. The new building, called Metropolis Bravo, has a rentable area of 5,500 square meters, and B+ classified standard finishes and equipment. 65 percent of the space is available for lease and 35 percent has already been contracted to both new and existing clients who have expanded their operations to the town center. Metropolis Alpha, the building’s other office complex, has almost reached full capacity. The reconversion of the Metropolis Center complex, with a rentable area of 19,000 square meters, was determined by the positive outlook of the office market, Soravia representatives have said. Starlight Suits had a number of 70 available rooms and was opened in 2009.
