MFP borrows EUR 250 M from banks


The Public Finance Ministry (MFP) on Monday borrowed EUR 250 million from eight commercial banks, by reopening a euro-denominated bond issue with bond carrying a four-year and five-month residual maturity respectively. The banks bids totalled EUR 281 million.

The Public Finance Ministry planned EUR 250 million and RON 3.245 billion loans from local commercial banks in August, out of which 2.9 billion lei through six T-bill and bond issues and 345 million lei through additional sessions of non-competitive bids, related to the bond tenders.
