Montenegro road accident case closed, dead driver is to blame

ICCJ prosecutors closed the case of the road accident that occurred on 23 June 2013 in Montenegro, which claimed the lives of 19 people and left 29 other injured, ruling that the dead driver is to blame, because he drove the bus at 80 km/h, much above the speed limit on that road sector. “These circumstances led to the intense destabilisation of the bus, which became unsettled and overturned, then collided with the walkway and the metal fence of the bridge, and fell in the precipice leading to the Moraca River,” the source explained. “As the driver of the bus, Ciobanu George died in the respective crash, there is no justification for conducting the criminal prosecution,” prosecutors added.
