In this case, the Bucharest Court rejected on June 10 the DNA request to maintain the preventive judicial control measure on Nicusor Constantinescu. The decision was attacked by prosecutors at the Bucharest Court of Appeals. The appeal was postponed several times after the court asked that the original medical documents concerning Nicusor Constantinescu’s state of health should be presented.
Nicusor Constantinescu was placed on the international wanted list following a decision taken by the Bucharest Court on July 7. The Court also decided to issue a European arrest warrant on his name.
