Office space transactions totaled, in Bucharest, in the first six months of 2014, over 132,000 sq m, and in the rest of the country – 15,557 sq m, according to the ESOP-centralized data, through the Forum of the most important real estate consulting companies present in Romania.Bucharest aside, in H1 2014, the most office spaces were traded in Timisoara (5,532 sq m) and in Cluj-Napoca (5,190 sq m), according to an ESOP release issued on Wednesday.The market for office spaces traded outside of Bucharest, increased by 60% in H1 2014 from the same period of last year (when it totaled 9,684 sq m). The office renting market went up also in Bucharest, from 103,450 sq m in H1 2013 to 132,009 sq m in H1 2014.A change has occurred also in terms of tenants’ interest, most of them being IT&C or financial consulting firms, in other cities than Bucharest. In H1 2013, the first place was held by Sibiu, followed by Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, but in 2014 Timisoara rose to the top place, followed very closely by Cluj-Napoca, while Sibiu left the top three places.
