Oldest Roma Holocaust survivor dies, aged 108


The oldest survivor of the Roma Holocaust Traian Grancea died, aged 108, and his funerary ceremony will take place on Tuesday. According to the president of the Christian Centre of Roma Daniel Cioaba, Traian Grancea, a Roma citizen from Porumbacu de Jos village, was deported in 1942 to Transdnestria. On October 22, 2007 Traian Grancea, along other survivors of the Roma Holocaust, was decorated by President Traian Basescu with the order Faithful Service.
