Orange Foundation supports people with disabilities

With a total budget of EUR 357,724, the “World through color and sound” fund, a program started by the Orange Romania Foundation, offers financing of up to EUR 50,000 to the projects that won the 2014 edition.
According to a press release, the winning projects consist of themes such as the early detection and treatment of hearing deficiencies, integrating hearing/vision impaired persons within the community through facilitating access to education, culture and health. The winners were selected by the Orange Foundation’s Board of Directors, chaired by Dana Deac, following a process of selection based on the following evaluation criteria: innovative character, digital component, the project’s relevance and coherence, its durability (concrete results and sustainability), its impact (number of beneficiaries), the candidates’ contribution (financial or otherwise) as well as the applicant’s prior work experience.
Thus, nine winners of the “World through color and sound” program were selected this year. The projects will be implemented from May 2014 to July 2015.
