Pernod Ricard Romania, one of the most important distilled beverages importers in Romania, leased 600 square meters of office space in Unirii View, the tallest modern office building in downtown Bucharest.

Thus, Pernod Ricard Romania joins a list of international companies that have chosen Unirii View and downtown Bucharest for establishing their new headquarters. Unirii View is located on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard, only five minutes away from Unirii Square. The project will be completed in the summer of 2018.

The project will have a total gross leasable area of 17,500 square meters and with a height that will reach 73 meters will be the most visible building in downtown Bucharest. Unirii View will have 19 floors, including ground floor, 17 office floors plus a mechanical last floor and a generous underground parking, divided into three levels.

”Pernod Ricard’s choice proves that downtown Bucharest becomes an important destination for companies looking for a representative headquarter. Moreover, we are witnessing  a progress regarding the occupied office spaces, with many companies upgrading from B Class office buildings”, said Andreea Paun, managing partner of real estate consultant Griffes, in charge with leasing strategy and commercial management for the project.

”We chose Unirii View due to its excellent position and for the exceptional standards that the building offers. We decided to relocate to a modern office building that will allow the future development of Pernod Ricard’s business in Romania. Thus, we will offer our employees optimal working conditions, that will enhance productivity and the company’s performance”, stated Tudor Furir, General Manager Pernod Ricard Romania.

Pernod Ricard Romania was assisted in the transaction by real estate consultant Knight Frank Romania. ”The initial client’s brief was finding a ultra-central office space, Unirii area being thus ideal, so everything was decided in a relative short period. In the last two years we observed that downtown area is registering an increasing request and all the buildings that are going to be delivered this year are already 90% pre-leased”, said Knight Frank representatives.

Among other companies that also chose Unirii View for their new headquarters are NTT Data Romania and Red Bull Romania.

With a free span on each floor of up to 12 m (and no intermediate structural columns), Unirii View achieves the largest column-free office space in Bucharest, obtained through groundbreaking post-tensioning techniques. Unirii View is also the first real estate project in Romania that applied and obtained the sustainable green pre-certification BREEAM, with the Excellent rating, under the latest 2016 regulations.

Unirii View is a project developed by Yves Weerts after an investment of approximately 33 million Euros. Yves Weerts is a Belgian national and real estate professional, with several other real estate investments undertook in Romania, among the development and successful sale of Deva Logistics Park to CTP investment fund.

The team behind Unirii View is completed by Westfourth Architecture in cooperation with DMA Architecture & Interior Design are bringing the architecture vision and design. Speedwell Real Estate Development, through Didier Balcaen, is handling the development process and the project management of the building.
