President Basescu: The set up of ‘Nana parliamentary committee’ – an abuse

President Traian Basescu said yesterday evening that the set up of the parliamentary committee to inquire the transaction in Nana Commune is an abuse, as the committees are not meant to relate to natural persons, according to the Constitutional Court rulings.
If illegal restitutions were made, inquiries should be carried out immediately, Basescu underscored, adding that PM Victor Ponta has lied several times on the subject.
“Mrs. Senator Gabriela Firea – a blackmailer by profession – claimed the vendor company was inactive, but the transaction was done through a contract. Her lies are meant to misinform, they are not true,” Basescu said.

“PM Victor Ponta – a failed prosecutor – continued with another lie, i.e. money laundering.
How can he believe such laundering can take place with money borrowed from ,the bank, a legal credit? His change of mind reveals the ,political objective of this committee, an objective that is a dishonour for the parliament.
From my point of view is a political committee,” the president added.
“As the committee is working, it should inquire on the 2,000 hectares at Fundulea research company and those guilty must be held responsible. I will notice the state institutions in this case, as nobody else intends to,” the president also said. He blamed for this Pm Ponta and  the PSD MPs. Basescu also said it should be inquired who is exploiting the state land, this being a target for the parliamentary committees.
“I have a message for Senator  Firea, to remind her that she had been sentenced to pay 1,000 lei for blackmail to a CNA member. She was grown up at the school of Felix (Dan Voiculescu, owner of Intact media group), Basescu also said. He also commented on the fact that she felt offended
of what he had said regarding his husband, Voluntari commune mayor Florentin Pandele.
