Raiffeisen Leasing and ING Lease signed an agreement in which Raiffeisen Leasing will purchase part of ING Lease portfolio. The transaction is expected to be effective at the beginning of 2014, a press release informs. Under the agreement, Raiffeisen Leasing will take over a portfolio consisting of over 60 customers, amounting to EUR 30 million in assets, and a part of ING Lease staff as well. „Signing this agreement with ING Lease Romania means to us a transfer of business and people which complements very well our existing portfolio. Moreover, the quality of the portfolio and customers’ profile represented the main reasons in our decision to close this deal,” said Felix Daniliuc, CEO of Raiffeisen Leasing Romania. „I am confident that the transaction will have a minimal impact on customers, also thanks to the transfer of employees, who will provide the same interface to clients, “said Maria Cenusa, CEO of ING Lease Romania.
According to ING Lease officials, the agreement with Raiffeisen Leasing represents a phase of the strategy of restructuring the Romanian operations of the company, by transferring many of the active customers, while the portfolio that will remain with ING will be administered the same way as until now.
