Requests for reimbursement in agriculture, to be processed in 45 days at most
The reimbursement requests will be processed in 45 days at most in the case of EU funds earmarked for the agriculture sector, the government informs, being quoted by Mediafax. The decision was taken after Prime Minister Emil Boc, Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara and European Affairs Minister Leonard Orban discussed the issue within the inter-ministerial committee. The Agriculture Ministry was granted permission by the Government to take, this year as well, a RON 3.75bln-loan from the Treasury, higher than loans contracted by the ministry in the past years, which will go to the payment of direct subventions per farming surface, Mediafax reports. The loan was approved by a resolution adopted on Wednesday by the Cabinet. Under the respective document, the funds will be used to ensure the financial resources needed to make urgent payments to farmers benefiting from direct subvention per farming surface schemes and to implement market measures in agriculture.
