Romania – offices for tourism promotion in Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Brussels

Romania will open three offices this year meant to promote tourism in Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Brussels, but will shut down its activity in Paris, Minister-delegate for SMEs, Business Milieu and Tourism Maria Grapini told Mediafax yesterday. She said Israel is the fifth country in number of visitors to Romania. “Even if Dubai was initially a proposition, we would like to change. On the one hand, one does not need visas to come from Israel as opposed to Dubai which imposes that, on the other hand, there is a very large Romanian community with a high interest,” said Grapini. The office in Brussels aims to cover France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
