Romania attends the Berlin International Tourism Exchange
On March 6-10, Romania attends the 48th edition of the Berlin International Tourism Exchange (ITB Berlin) – ‘Internationale Tourismus Borse’ – the biggest event of the industry in the world, the Ministry of Economy informs in a press release. During the event, the Romanian delegation led by the delegate minister for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism, Maria Grapini, will hold talks with foreign officials and representatives of German tour-operators. The meetings center on promoting Romania as tourist destination in Germany, the most important market that sends tourists to Romania, as well as the promotion on other international markets. The Romanian stand at the ITB covers 407 square meters and will host 50 exhibitors. Romania is present at ITB with own stand ever since 1970. With over 11,163 exhibitors from more than 188 countries, ITB Berlin registered 11,127 specialists and 60,000 private visitors in 2012.
