The emergence of the industrial parks also in the Republic of Moldova, such as the one from Raut, is considered an opportunity by the Romanian investors, making them extend their businesses over the Prut River, too; the most recent example is an important investor from Prahova.

At the end of the last week, namely on May 25, 2018, the women’s garment factory MollTex was inaugurated in Balti, Republic of Moldova. The investment is made by the founder of the Group of Romanian companies Oztasar and K&D Entertainment, Huseyin Karaman. He is one of the most important investors in the Prahova County, a member of the Board of Directors of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 700 new jobs have been created by the expansion of the business in the Republic of Moldova and by opening the factory in Balti, which is arranged in the Raut Industrial Park. The investment is estimated at around EUR 4 million.

As announced by the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was the organizer of the inaugural event of the MollTex factory, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, the expansion of the investment made by the Oztasar Group of companies from Romania in the Republic of Moldova was possible thanks to a smooth collaboration between the two chamber institutions. The factory’s inauguration was attended by many officials from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, members of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, including Pm Pavel Filip, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps of the two countries, Romanian and Moldovan businessmen and employees of the factory. At the opening ceremony, speeches were held by the PM of the Republic of Moldova, Pavel Filip, the President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aurelian Gogulescu, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of the Republic of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, the Manager of the new established factory, and the founder of MollTex Group, Huseyin Karaman.

Thus, thanking to the Romanian investors for their trust and determination to develop their business in the Republic of Moldova, PM Pavel Filip wished to say that launching new project is a confirmation that things are going to the right direction in the Republic of Moldova. “Each opened factory means that investors find here a predictable business environment, in which you can be pleased to launch a business. For this who are working here, the inauguration of this factory means a stable job. Thus, there will be less people going abroad, we will be complete families, and this is the most important thing for me”, the Moldovan PM Pavel Filip mentioned. In his turn, the President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aurelian Gogulescu, wished to highlight the skills of a good entrepreneur that Huseyin Karaman has, his achievements as an important investor, as well as the support provided to him until now and from now on by the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a confirmation of this appreciation, Aurelian Gogulescu handed a “Diploma of Excellence” to Huseyin Karaman for his entrepreneurial performances.

The group of Romanian companies Oztasar extended its business over the Prut River five years after the Government of the Republic of Moldova granted the title of Industrial Park to the “Raut” Joint Stock Company from Balti. Besides, on the occasion of inaugurating the MollTex factory, the investor announced that he planned to extend its company also in the city of Donduseni, by opening the second factory in the Republic of Moldova this July, where other 1,000 jobs will be created.
