“Love Is a Story”, the latest long film made by director Cristina Iacob (#selfie), starring Dragos Bucur and Raluca Aprodu in the lead role, will be screened in Miami, as part of the Focus on Romania Film Festival – Ft. Lauderdale Waves 2015.
Organized with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York and of the The Romanian American League, the event brings to Cinema Paradiso the most awaited Romanian films of the year.
The love story will be screened on October 24, at the local time 9.15 PM, and followed by a Q & A session via Skype with director Cristina Iacob. American viewers will thus have the opportunity to find out more information about Romania’s first love story, or at least, the press release claims it to be.
The long film “Love Is a Story” presents the budding relationship of two young artists of our days.
Around winter holidays, in an old charming Transylvanian city, Sebastian and Aprilia start a beautiful romantic story. Yet, things are not as simple as they seem. Kept under the simultaneous influence of three men with strong personalities, Aprilia is forced to find a balance between life as a growp-up and the choices of a childish heart. Christmas has almost arrived and life will provide this beautiful and talented young girl only the gifts she is strong enough to receive. Love conquers all. Or does it?
Besides Dragos Bucur and Raluca Aprodu, the cast of the film includes Ducu Darie, Mimi Branescu, Mirela Oprisor, Vlad Zamfirescu, Ionut Bora, Gabriela Popescu.
“Love Is a Story” was presented in international premiere at the Love Film Festival in Mons, where it was selected in the international competition.
The script of the film is signed by Cristina Iacob (photo) and Dan Chiriac. The film is produced by MediaPro Entertainment and Zazu Film.
In Romania, the short film will be launched on November 27, 2015, and will be distributed by Zazu Film.
