Senate general secretary resigns out of personal reasons


Senate general secretary, former Arad Senator Ovidiu Marian, submitted his resignation from this position on Thursday citing “personal reasons,” saying though that he was proposed and might accept the position of deputy general secretary as of February 3. Inquired about the reasons behind the resignation, Ovidiu Marian cited “personal reasons,” without further statements. Ovidiu Marian was Arad senator elected in 2008 on PDL lists and he switched to PNL in 2012, prior to the parliamentary elections. According to official sources quoted by Mediafax, the current deputy general secretary of the Senate, Dan Mihalache, will take over the position of Senate general secretary.
