Subway fares will go up by 25 to 33 percent, meaning one return trip ticket will cost RON 5 instead of RON 4, one 10-trip-ticket will cost RON 20 instead of RON 15 and a monthly 62-trip-subscription ticket will cost RON 65 compared to RON 50. Weekly unlimited subscription tickets will cost RON 25 compared to RON 20 and monthly unlimited subscription tickets will cost RON 75 compared to RON 60. Daily subscription ticket prices will go from RON 6 to RON 8, Mediafax informs.
The new fares are included in the annex attached to a draft order submitted by Ramona Manescu, Minister of Transport, in relation to approving subway fares. The draft was published on the Ministry of Transport website Wednesday and the deadline for submitting proposals or observations is November 8. Upon approval, the order will take effect within three days of the date it is published in the Official Gazette.
