Swan Lake on ice, Saturday at Palace Hall


The Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on Ice – the jewel of Russia’s cultural patrimony and the world’s only professional ice ballet – will come to Bucharest for a grandiose performance of the SWAN LAKE, on 18 January 2014. The tickets put on sale at the price of RON 100 for the SWAN LAKE on ice, scheduled for Saturday at Sala Palatului have been sold out, while other categories of tickets for the Bucharest show of the world’s only professional ice ballet are almost over, reads a press release.
For the SWAN LAKE on ice, organisers have put on sale 6 categories of tickets: 1st Category – RON 350; 2nd Category – RON 300; 3rd Category – RON 250; 4th Category – RON 200; 5th Category – RON 150, 6th Category – RON 100. Tickets are available at the Biletoo desk of Unirea Shopping Center (ground floor), the Flanco stores, the Adevarul and Eminescu bookshops, at the National Children’s Palace, at the offices of Posta Romana, the Inmedio shops marked with the Bilete.ro logo, the Germanos, Orange, Vodafone and Diverta shops and online at www.biletoo.ro, www.blt.ro, www.bilet.ro, www.bilete.ro, www.eventim.ro, www.myticket.ro and www.iabilet.ro.
The Saint-Petersburg Ice Ballet will offer to the public a unique and impressive show that merges symphonic music to delicate costumes, the art of dancers and classical choreography. The SWAN LAKE is produced by choreographer Konstantin Rassadin, Merited Artist of Russia, and for the last 5 years it was present on the most prestigious stages in the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, China, Spain, Korea, Taiwan, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Switzerland, Columbia and Argentina.
The famous libretto that tells the story of princesses turned into swans by an evil wizard, whose curse can be removed only by the love of a prince, is brought to life on the skating rink by the Saint-Petersburg Ice Ballet, which invites the public to a classical show of ballet with decors, costumes and dancers trained in the famous schools of classical ballet of Russia. For this show, the stage of Sala Palatului will be covered with 2,500 kg of natural ice.
Since 1995, the Saint-Petersburg Ice Ballet introduces the public from all over the world to fascinating classical ballet shows transposed on ice: ‘The Sleeping Beauty,’ ‘The Swan Lake’ and ‘The Nutcracker’ by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, ‘Cinderella’ by Sergey Prokofiev are the ballets staged by the Saint-Petersburg Ice Ballet in more than 7,000 performances. Currently, no less than 20 dancers of the company were granted the title of Sports Master of Russia, for their victories in national and international skating contests.
