The Embassy of Sweden is launching on Monday the campaign called “#7DayChallengeRomania!,” a challenge to adopt a healthier and more responsible lifestyle towards the environment.

The virtual campaign “#7DayChallengeRomania” consists in selecting a challenge from the EAT, MOVE and LIVE categories, with each challenger being encouraged to post stories on the social media about the progress of his challenge for a week, over October 16-22, by using the hashtag #7DayChallengeRomania, reads the Swedish Embassy in a release.

The Swedish Ambassador, Anneli Lindahl Kenny, participates in this (video) campaign together with other people who chose challenges such as consumption of fruit and vegetables that are locally produced, removing meat from their diet for a week or walking or traveling by public transportation instead of their personal car.

According to the same source, by choosing EAT SMART means that you will be trying to eat as little meat as possible, especially beef – for the production of beef implies five times more CO2 emissions than the pork or chicken, or trying to become a part-time vegetarian and only eat meat during the weekend.

Those who will choose LIVE SMART are suggested to try to sort out cardboard, paper, plastic and glass wastes and take them to a sorting centre in their own neighborhood every week.

The EAT, MOVE and LIVE SMART ideas don’t stop here and we encourage you to choose a creative challenge to talk about it by using the hashtag #7DayChallengeRomania over October 16-22. The most interesting stories will be included by the Swedish Embassy in an online story dedicated to this campaign #7DayChallengeRomania and in a final video of the campaign to be uploaded on the Swedish Embassy’s Youtube page,” reads the release.
