Saturday, on April 14, the Bucharest Municipality has established, through the Comic Opera for Children, by drawing lots, the winners of the anniversary contest Treasure Hunt “The OCC Golden Orchestra” with 2018 prizes. In the presence of many children and parents, Felicia Filip, the Manager of the Comic Opera for Children, and Cristina Basangeac, the representative of the Magic Holiday agency, extracted the winners being helped by Mihai, one of the children attending the event.
Gina Hanta from Bucharest is the winner of the big prize offered by Magic Holiday. She will spend a city break to Milano with her family. The next 7 winners will receive subscriptions for the 2018-2019 season to the performances of the Comic Opera, while the next 10 winners will receive a set of customized products from the OCC store. The remaining 2000 awards consist of tickets to the performances of the Comic opera in the current season. The Comic Opera for Children has also launched on Saturday the partnership with Minimizer, the creators of the 3D figurines. The participants at the event had the opportunity to make a free scan, the first step in making the 3D figurine. The 3D scanner will be placed in the institution’s foyer for the next three weeks. A miniature statuette of Mrs. Felicia Filip, the Manager of the Comic opera for Children was auctioned; the money to be collected will be donated for the children and young people supported by the FARA Foundation, whose ambassador is soprano Felicia Filip. The auction will be held on the Facebook page of the Comic Opera and is open until April 21.
Two premiers and the “Hänsel and Gretel” Festival
“Our surprises don’t stop here. This week, we are waiting for you with two premiers at the Comic Opera for Children: the ‘Snow White’ ballet at the Grand Hall, and the lesson-concert ‘Cu Nino in Romania’ at the Mozart Salon. Also this week, the Comic Opera for Children will go in a tour to Giurgiu, with the ‘Arlechino and Colombina’ concert and will participate in the Days of the Sfantu Gheorghe City with the musical theater ‘Onix and Barton’. For 10 days, from April 20 and 29, we are waiting for you at the ‘Hänsel and Gretel’ Festival, at our premises located at 16 Calea Giulesti, with 42 spectacles from a variety of genres, from theater, ballet or opera, to musical and lesson concerts. We are delighted to wait for you at the Comic Opera, the place where all of us can enjoy childhood through the eyes of our children” stated Felicia Filip, the Manager of the Comic Opera for Children.
Until the end of April, children can see at the UnderGrant Hall the beautiful story of two schoolmates who fall in love to each other, in a new interpretation of the opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Bastien and Bastienne”. The concert is performed by a young creation team consisting of conductor Razvan Apetrei, director Irina Craita-Mandra and stage designers Bianca and Sabina Vesteman, who won with this project the first edition of the contest “The UnderGrant Season” at the Comic Opera for Children. The opera “Bastien and Bastienne” will be performed also on the stage of the Bacovia Municipal Theater from Bacau, on Wednesday, April 18.
The Comic Opera for Children is a public cultural institution subordinated to the Bucharest Municipality and to the General Council of Bucharest, and it is led by soprano Felicia Filip since 2014. Being unique in the world by the segment of its audience, the Comic Opera for Children has more than 12,000 spectators per month. There are over 600 performances scheduled for the 2017-2018 season, out of which there are 19 premiers.
